As you can tell this site looks totally different and changes will continue to happen over the next several weeks. The main driving factor was to upgrade the Content Management System I use, Joomla, to it's latest version. The only issue was the latest version was a complete rewrite from the version I was using so upgrading everything was a major pain. I had to copy and move database tables to get all the user account information back in, I had to manually add all the user points and awards back to users (which I still need to complete) so it wasn't an easy task. I know the look is totally different and it's something we can continue to discuss. The old template I used doesn't have all the capabilities of this new one but I can work to tweak the look and feel over time.
One of the big changes it the Menu. I have the ability to create in depth flyout menus so I hope to capture a lot of information in these. Some things are working and some things are not at this point but I will continue to tweak and consolidate things to try and make it easy to navigate around. I can't do it without your assistance though so comments are important.
One thing new you will see is this blog you are reading. There is now the ability for anyone to create their own blog about whatever you want. I see information here being something you wanted to share with everyone on a higher platform than just through the forums. It's just another way for you to share your thoughts with your GLD brethren! Just check out the new Blogs heading on the Main Menu.
